Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 14 August 2026 · Effective 14 August 2026
NukeBase runs your code on shared infrastructure. This policy exists so one customer cannot ruin the service for everyone else, and so we are not hosting things that are illegal or harmful. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. What you must not do
Illegal and harmful content
- Anything unlawful where you are, where we are, or where your users are.
- Child sexual abuse material. We report this to the authorities without warning and terminate the account immediately.
- Content that incites violence, or that harasses, threatens or defames people.
- Material that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property.
- Distributing malware, ransomware, or tooling whose purpose is to compromise systems.
Adult and sexual content
NukeBase may not be used to host, store, serve, generate or distribute pornography or sexually explicit material of any kind. This is a firm prohibition, not a matter of labelling or age-gating it.
- Pornographic images, video, audio, text or AI-generated equivalents.
- Sexually explicit content of any kind, whether behind a paywall, an age gate, or a login.
- Adult entertainment services, escort or prostitution services, or advertising for them.
- Applications whose primary purpose is to host, index, share or monetise such material, including where the content itself lives elsewhere.
- Sexualised depictions of minors, real or synthetic. This is covered separately above, is reported to the authorities, and results in immediate termination.
We enforce this whether or not the material is legal where you are. It is a condition of the payment processing and infrastructure we rely on, and it is not something we can make exceptions to. If you are not sure whether your application falls inside this, ask us at support@nukebase.com before you build on NukeBase rather than after.
Fraud and deception
- Phishing, fake login pages, or impersonating a person or organisation.
- Fake stores, fraudulent payment collection, or scams of any kind.
- Using someone else's payment details, or charging back payments made in good faith.
Attacks and abuse of infrastructure
- Denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, or probing systems you do not own.
- Attempting to break out of your project's isolation, reach another customer's data, or escalate privileges on our servers.
- Deliberately circumventing plan limits, spend caps, quotas or rate limits.
- Proxying or relaying traffic to disguise its origin, including open proxies and VPN exit nodes.
Resource abuse
- Cryptocurrency mining of any kind, and comparable proof-of-work workloads.
- Distributed computing that primarily consumes processor time rather than serving your users.
- Using storage as a general file-dump or media-distribution service unrelated to an application.
- Deliberately generating traffic to inflate metrics or to exhaust another party's resources.
Email abuse
NukeBase can send sign-in links on your behalf. That feature is for transactional sign-in email only. You must not use it for marketing, newsletters, bulk messaging, or any mail the recipient did not ask for. Sending unsolicited email through our infrastructure damages the deliverability of every other customer's sign-in links, and we treat it seriously.
2. You are responsible for your users
If your application lets other people upload or publish content, you are responsible for what appears on it. We expect you to have a way for people to report abuse, and to act on reports. We may contact you about content on your app before we take any action ourselves.
3. Security expectations
- Keep your dependencies reasonably current.
- Write security rules that actually restrict access. A rule granting read or write to everyone is your decision and your risk.
- Do not commit credentials, API keys or secrets into a project you then make public.
- Tell us promptly at support@nukebase.com if you discover a vulnerability in NukeBase itself. We will not pursue you for reporting one in good faith, provided you do not access other customers' data, degrade the service, or disclose it publicly before we have had a reasonable chance to fix it.
4. How we enforce this
What we do depends on how serious it is:
| Situation | What we do |
|---|---|
| Minor or likely accidental — a runaway process, a misconfigured job | We email you and ask you to fix it |
| Ongoing after we have asked, or materially affecting other customers | We may pause the project |
| Illegal content, sexually explicit material, attacks on others, fraud, or a serious threat to the platform | Immediate suspension or termination, without notice, and a report to the authorities where required |
Where we can, we prefer to talk to you first. Most breaches of this policy are mistakes rather than malice, and a mistake is usually fixable in one email.
5. Reporting abuse
To report something hosted on NukeBase, email support@nukebase.com with the URL and what the problem is. We investigate every report. For copyright complaints, include enough detail to identify the work and confirm you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days beforehand, except where a change is needed immediately to address an active threat.
